After finding a few ramps yesterday it had me eager to go out and find some more. I did that, and I also found a lot of fiddle heads, pictured above. I’ve never been one for fiddle heads, but I always think it is interesting finding other edible plants in the wild.
I went on a short hike today and stumbled upon 2 or 3 small patches of ramps..Good thing I was prepared for such a happy accident.
I have no idea how I’ve collected so many of these over the years, but they keep surfacing in areas I wouldn’t expect to find them. These are just a few of what I’ve found lately. Pictured is a steel bar for a lap (or pedal) steel, and also a steel pinky slide, a glass bottleneck, and a ceramic (left to right) slide.
I went out for a short walk tonight. Here’s Mario’s Fishbowl on the way home. I would have loved to stop in for some wings and a beer (on tap), but maybe next time.
